Tosu City (鳥栖市 Tosu-shi) is a city located in the eastern part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu, Japan.

In real life[]

In 1874 during the rebellion of the saga. On Mount Asahi, there was a battle between government troops and the rebel army. In 1889, the modern municipal system was established. At this time, Tosu consists of five separate towns: (Asahi, Fumoto, Kizato, Tashiro, and Todoroki).

In 1954, Tosu absorbed Tashiro and Asahi, Fumoto, and Kizato to create the city of Tosu.

Tosu is one of the main transportation hubs in Kyushu. Its main railway station is Tosu Station, which connects the Nagasaki Main Line and the Kagoshima Main Line. There is also a junction connecting the Kyūshu Highway, Nagasaki Highway, and Ōita Highway. It is economically part of the Fukuoka metropolitan area and according to a 2000 census, about 5% of Tosu's total population travels to work or school in Fukuoka.

Located in the Saga Plains, the Chikushi River runs along the southern border of Tosu. The lowlands are used for rice cultivation and is where the city center is located. The northwestern part of the city contains the eastern part of the Sefuri Mountains.

In the series[]

The city of Tosu was the scene of Ai's death in 2008 on one of her national tours with the group Iron Frill. Later in 2019, the city witnessed the failure of Franchouchou in the same stadium because of Kotaro's little planning when it came to making the event. The next year the revenge of the group was carried out in the same stadium thanks to the international support for Saga after the flood.
