Zombie Land Saga Gaiden: The First Zombie[]
Chapter 5[]
Takeo belongs to Minami High School and members of a gang try to recruit him because of his strength and size with the aim of conquering Saga and Japan. He does not accept the proposal, since he is not interested in small ambitions and his goal in life is to get “love”.
Later, it appears that a Sagako possesses Takeo's body and Takeo is terrorizing the students at school, prompting someone to call in the Sagako Busters.
Chapter 6[]
Takeo is surprised by the team of Saga Sagako Busters, who mistake him for a Sagako because of his enormous size. Lamenting the confusion, they already prepare to leave, until Takeo mentions that he is cursed. At his school, all confessions of love between students fail due to supernatural events. Inside the high school, there's even a cursed locker where love letters entered are replaced with thumbtacks. It got to the point where a spiritualist had to be called in to put a seal on the locker so no one else would put letters in there. The school is cursed since anyone who tries to confess their love is interrupted. Takeo is no exception to this, as he is in love with Sachika, a young student who saw the kindness in his heart and captivated him; however, each encounter with her ends in the curse hitting him. Leaving him with bruises that make him look bad.
The Sagako Busters spring into action and manage to contain the curse that caused the incidents. Takeo, finally freed from this curse, confesses his love for Sachika, asking her to get married when the time is right. She immediately accepts his proposal.

Episode 8[]
Flashbacks show that he loved Lily very much, who seemed very happy living with him when she was still alive. He even immediately left his job and became Lily's manager when she expressed an interest in acting within the television industry, doing everything he could to make sure her career was successful.
However, he was too fixated on his career and didn't realize the accumulated stress she was accumulating until it was too late. He still hasn't gotten over Lily's death after seven years, unable to watch the television he loved so much because of how their relationship ended. He regrets his words and actions in her final moments, and can't find closure because of it.
When he first appears in Franchouchou's photo shoot, Saki assumes that he must be a moneylender trying to collect debts from Kotaro. In reality, he's only there because he thinks Lily is an identical stranger who looks just like his daughter, and he's a good person deep down.
He loved Lily very much, but after becoming her manager and her acting career took off, he focused more on her daughter's career than her well-being. Years later, it's clear that he regrets being so remiss. While it was clear that he was accepting of Lily's gender choice, he would still call her “Masao” instead of her preferred name, and he also severely underestimated her concerns regarding her gender identity.
During their last pre-mortem conversation, Lily was distraught over the fact that she was growing body hair. Takeo did his best to reassure her that it wasn't a big deal and tried to get her to accept that she was growing up. While it was clear he meant well, he ultimately didn't understand just how devastating the ordeal was for Lily, and the conversation ended up turning into a massive regret that haunted him for years to come.
Franchouchou decides to hold a concert with a new song specifically aimed at him, with Lily thanking Takeo for all the time they had together and telling him that she still loves him. This finally allows him to move on, and he even starts watching TV again. Although Lily can't confirm that she is actually her daughter, it's clear that Takeo has finally found peace within himself.
