This is an event venue located at the central corner of Gofukumachi shopping street. The site was formerly the site of the former Kyowa Bank Saga branch. The plaza was renovated in 2010 to give it its current appearance.[1]
The aim of this facility is to provide people with a place to relax and socialize, and to create a lively atmosphere in the city.[2]
In the anime[]
During the anime, Plaza 656 has had several minor appearances. During Episode 8, it was used by Franchouchou as a performance venue to dedicate a song to Takeo Go on behalf of Lily, as a form of farewell. It has subsequently been used for various Franchouchou events.
In the Episode 6 of the second season, a dance contest between various Saga residents took place here. Tae and Cocco had their dance battle, resulting in Tae winning a bag of onions.
Trivia[]
- The place is officially called “Saga City Community Plaza,” but residents nickname it Plaza 656 or Plaza Mutsugoro.
