She once had a healthy relationship with her mother when she was younger, but everything fell apart when she found out about Reiko's background. Dissatisfied with her mother because she feels that she lost the place where she belonged, she decides to form a new Dorami with her friends. She uses her mother's maiden name “Kirishima” exclusively for this band, and rejects her mother's married name because she hates what her mother has become and prefers to follow the tough biker she used to be.

Maria about to perform a dangerous motorcycle stunt
She tries her best to become the same captain of a motorcycle gang that her mother was before, as Maria feels like her mother has lost her temper. She finds it hard to pull off when most of her gang are sticker-covered female scooters and only two other members know they're not made for it. Despite acting like a tough and rude Japanese criminal, she draws a boundary by harming elementary school students and lets Lily break free of her when she threatens her and Sakura. Despite trying to win the chicken game after receiving a letter from the Korosuke, Saki is willing to do it for her as a “special commander of a day”. Saki crashes the motorcycle, but not before jumping from it. Reiko reprimands Saki, but she changed her mind after hearing the words from Saki about being a legend.
They were invited by Saki to her next concert, saying, “I'll show you my own legend”. At the end of the episode, she achieves a reconciliation with Korosuke by becoming a fan of Franchouchou.

Working in a supermarket to pay for her mother's motorcycle
Maria is seen working at a supermarket, where she encounters Tae. She reveals to an uninterested Tae that not only did she save enough to buy a scooter to replace her mother's motorcycle, but also that Dorami rebranded as a dance team. When her friends arrive, Maria invites Tae to join them in a contest in plaza 656 where Tae unexpectedly wins 30,000 yen and 10 kg of onions by beating Drive in Tori's mascot in a dance competition. Tae does not want the money, but Policeman A appears at the moment and tells them to spend the money betting on boat racing.
Policeman A takes the group to a Karatsu boat race. Maria sees Misa compete and her group of motorcyclists supporting her from the building. In the end, thanks to Tae's good luck, they take 20 million yen to pay Franchouchou's debt. Upon arriving at the house, Maria turns to see Ookoba, but she doesn't seem to care. Franchouchou are surprised by the money, but that surprise is almost ruined by Sakura's tripping and knocking off Tae's head. Saki uses Kotaro's technique to distract Maria from seeing Tae's headless body.
