Chapter 16: Final Destination. Paving the Path for Saga’s Future. (終着。サガし歩んだ先にあったモノ。, Shūchaku. Sagashi ayunda saki ni atta mono.) is the sixteenth chapter of the spin-off manga series of Zombie Land Saga, titled “Zombie Land Saga Side Story: The First Zombie”.
Synopsis[]
Saga is now on Tae's shoulders. The future of the prefecture depends on her actions.
Plot[]
The Busters manage to defeat the spider Sagako. Or so they think. Behind the dust and smoke, a new heart-shaped form of Magatsuhi emerges completely unscathed. Tae throws herself at her and their battle is fierce. Eikichi tries to go after her, but is stopped by Anna for her leg injury, as it would be a burden on Tae. Fortunately for Eikichi, they were already prepared with a Sagako anti-spider cannon that Hanako had prepared shortly after they were released. The cannon works and destroys part of the Sagako, which is about to crush Tae, but Anna gets in the way. Even with damage from the cannon, Magatsuhi launches a spike attack and destroys all the Sagako in a single attack.
Magatsuhi destroys the other Sagako
Now, the group is seriously injured after the attack. Eikichi meets Hanako, badly injured, but she tells him that she is not worried about the situation, since she knows what Eikichi must do; he must tell Tae his true feelings. That is the power of him.
Tae is still fighting with all her might, but is interrupted by Eikichi, who decides to help her. Tae has already carried all the weight on her shoulders, and she is very hurt by it. Eikichi tells her that he doesn't want her not to be like this, and he wants her to be happy. Tae has only had one purpose all this time, and that is to take revenge on the Sagako who killed her parents. This being the only thing that has existed in her heart all this time. Everything was like that until she met Yuko, who showed her another side of reality that Tae had never experienced.
It is at that moment that Yuko's onion reacts and releases its power to Eikichi, making him glow. He now has his sister's power and hers together, so he hugs Tae so that now she has all that power combined. Now it is Tae who has all the power of the brothers to seal this last curse. Tae asks Eikichi for one last favor in order to defeat the curse.
Magatsuhi's face
Eikichi climbs up Sagako's legs to the top, where Tae meets Magatsuhi. She touches her mask and immediately understands the curse, who calls Tae her mother. Magatsuhi has been looking for her mother all this time, looking to be loved. Just like Tae always wanted to be with her parents. With the sealing power, Tae hugs Magatsuhi, forgiving herself and accepting Magatsuhi. Magatsuhi's mask breaks, revealing her true face before merging with Tae.
Tae falls to the ground after the Sagako disappeared. Now, she is sealed within her dead body.

- Tae's injuries as a zombie are the result of this last battle, where she fights with all her might against the curse.
- Likewise, her death is because she fuses her soul with Magatsuhi's using her body to contain Magatsuhi. Unlike Yuko, who sealed herself in an onion to survive, Tae used her soul as a purifying medium.
- Since all the girls in Franchouchou died on a Butsumetsu day (unlucky day) and the chapter takes place in early November 1989, it can be estimated that Tae's death day occurred on one of the following days: November 5, November 11, November 17 and November 23.
