Bar New Jofuku (Bar New Jofuku) is an underground canteen that is staffed by Jofuku, in Saga City, Saga Prefecture.

Description

The bar is manned by Jofuku, who hangs pictures of himself from the Jofuku Longevity Hall in Saga city. Kotaro frequents this bar when he is in a tense situation about how to handle the group or when he has a question that he must answer. The bar has a photo of Yugiri, Kiichi, and Ito on one of its shelves and was completely flooded in the events of Episode 23.

Trivia

• Besides Kotaro, Yugiri and the mysterious man from the manga also know about the existence of this underground bar and frequent it constantly.
• Unlike the other buildings shown in the anime, this bar does not exist in real life, and the closest thing is the “Suehiro skewer” restaurant in Saga City.
  • Although it does not exist in real life, that did not stop fans of the series from locating the location of the bar in real life, being on Matsubara boulevard next to Saga's castle.
• The last chapter of the Gaiden manga reveals that the bar opened sometime between 1989 and 1994.
