Alien Power Stone (エイリアンパワーストーン, Eirianpawāsutōn) is an alien mineral of unknown characteristics capable of generating a large amount of energy. It is primarily used with two other stones as the main power source on the mothership. When Tae ate one of the stones, she regained consciousness.

Overview

It is an alien mineral overloaded with some kind of energy. It is so powerful that it can float and emit a yellowish glow as if it were on fire.

It is stored alongside two other stones and forms part of the core of the alien mothership. When Tae Yamada ingested the stone, mistaking it for an ice cream popsicle, she regained consciousness. At the same time, the alien attack in other parts of the world abruptly ceased just before annihilating other cities.

While inside Tae's body, it emits a clear heat signal that can be detected by the aliens. To defeat the aliens, Tae uses the power stone again to overload the mothership's energy system, causing it to explode and crash to Earth.

Tae's body stores the stone's energy like a battery, allowing her to maintain consciousness for several months.

Trivia

• Yamada finally regains consciousness by ingesting an alien power stone inside the mothership. This suggests that Tae's consciousness had remained dormant in the body she shared with Magatsuhi and simply needed a power source potent enough to overcome Magatsuhi's control.
  • When Yamada finally expels the stone at the end of the film, she finds herself in a race against time. Without access to the energy source that kept her conscious, it was inevitable that she would revert to her natural state, as seen in the anime. Meanwhile, she was able to enjoy six months with the other girls of Franchouchou until she finally lost consciousness and Magatsuhi regained control of the body.
